hey guys dont know if this would be the right forum for this but ive seen a ss zipo type lighter for sale with puma rzm number. would any one know or have any knowledge of these if in fact they bwere ever produced durring the war

Hi Dave did not quite understand your reply does that mean no zipo type lighters with the ss runes and rzm numbers were ever issued any info would be greatly appreicated

I'd stay clear of SS zippos, unless in the $5 range.

Sorry, but the last 10 years (at least) have seen an abundance of fakes with SS runes and sometimes RZM marks. Beer bottles, endless steins, watches, folding knives, china, etc. Sometimes on real period articles, often not. The SS controlled use of their symbol carefully and it did not appear on things like a lighter sanctioned by the RZM.
I have never seen a German lighter of the Zippo variety, so lets see what others say.
