Looks like a reproduction to me….Lets see what others have to say.

It looks like one of the Spanish reproductions to me. The hilt is very similar to others i have seen but did not keep images. The one I saw had a H & M maker mark but that Weyersberg is not correct anyway and the rough grind tapered tang with heat blued thread is exactly the same as the Spanish repos - and a dead giveaway.
They can be very convincing though at a distance and are better than most.

The one I handled had brass runners in the scabbard and was unbalanced to the point that the grip hung down when the dagger was suspended. (but that may be because it had lost a weight inside). Anyway, sorry to say it` a POS Dion.

Hey Guys,

I`m really sorry to have wasted your time here with this piece, but I had to post it as the Seller did not believe me that this was a piece of junk! I did a package deal with him and this is what I got, so you can only imagine my surprise when I opend the parcel and saw what my $500; had bought me!!!
I knew this was not right, but I needed other unbiased opinions
to proove that it was a reproduction and NOT original.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to post and give me your opinions wink
