Bought from a w ii vet, who picked this helmet up in one of the German warehouses. He said it was for their glider pilots!!.
Anyone have an idea of what this helmet may be and its value?
Thanks
Bob
I have been told that it could be an experimental helmet

Interesting piece. The ear-flaps look like they could accomodate avionics...Never seen one of these before, but I'd say aviation related is a good guess.

Cheers,
Mike

Pretty sure its a french tank helmet...

With the headphone ear covers, and a hole for the badge on the front.

There a couple of variations of these.

Regards Mark

That is an interesting story about the said helmet. The one that I have is in mint condition, never been used. I would assume that this would appeal to both French and US collectors.Any ideas on the value of this helmet??
Thanks
Bob
