Could somebody tell me the maker of this crossgaurd? Lookslike a WKC but I researched it and WKC never had a drop down from the forehead to the beak and this one doeas! This is on an eickhorn dagger.

This is a socalled generic A type crossguard. These generic types were not made by one specific maker.

Thank You for the info Danny. I researched this type and seen other eickhorn army daggers with type so must be good.

I have seen Eickhorns with generic "A" guards but the other parts puzzle me, Eick produced scabbard but with WKC single side screw...ferrel doesnt look like typical late Eick...white and most probably wood or plaster core grip(looks like imatation Ivory!) is not typicly seen on Eicks either. Very confused dagger! Kevin.

Haven't seen the blade but if it has a nice original Eickhorn blade it still is a expensive fishing knife! grin
