We seem to have lost the original thread or its way down and I cannot find it, so:
If you are currently in your country's military, or a veteran of your country's military (including national service) and you wish a "Ruptured Duck" badge like mine, then post:
Country Years of service Branch of Service
And I will get you a badge
Dave

Ok, I have applied because in my country we consider Gendarmerie and regular police as a part of Armed forces. I apologize. Thank you anyway.

It is true though that the Gendarmerie is considered as part of the Armed Forces in European countries.
Don't know what's so special about our service years in the military, until recently, pretty much all of the Europeans male citizens were obliged to be part of the Military service for at least 1 year when turning 18, I'm no different but nothing really to be so excited about, just my opinion. Very different for someone who has actually participated in military combat mission, those guys deserves my upmost respect.

I wish the US would adopt conscription. When you turn 18 and graduate high school, you either go to college or serve 2-4 years in the service. If you drop out of high school, as soon as you turn 18 automatic conscription for 2-4 years. I think the younger generation would have a different outlook on life nowadays rather than being a generation of "What can I get for free?"...my two cents...

I was just thinking today about how entitled this generation feels. Maybe we can't change a lot of things but I try to model the "attitude of gratitude" especially when I'm not feeling grateful because it changes my heart about it eventually... I tell kids when u appreciate what u see everyday it makes u a happier person and to others u will be more humble in outlook and attitude. No one likes a snob or a selfish ingrate!

Dave I can't even add a photo out of my gallery to a email, let alone get one on here. I could text one to someone. But there common badges. Ed

Vern Ever since changing to windows 10 I have not been able to get photos added to my emails. Was so easy with Vista. Several people have tried to no avail. Ed
