The pictures below, once they re placed there by Mr Mike, are of a dagger recently found in Europe- you can see the GOTT MIT UNS and floral panel- no other pics are available now- any suggestions-Mike

Hangers remind me of eastern European examples. The German inscription is what has me scratching my head. It's a bit crude. Jim Wallace, or Kurt Glemser might chirp in.

Dr. Mike, Possibly something along the lines of a theatrical prop? The light straps and suspension reminds me of that. You can shoot me if I'm too far off ... Best! Bill

The hanger appears to be an original sword hanger of some type.
As to the dagger, I go with Bill. I do not believe this has anything to do with the military or real use for that matter. The hanging rings are much too delicate.
