Hello,
I picked up this Army a few months ago. This is a Clemen & Jung and is marked on both sides of the blade. It has great color to the handle and is overall good condition.

Rich, that is a super looking dagger from a seldom seen maker. Not being a fan of generic fittings I like the config with the use of the Pack 3rd cross-guard. The heavy oxidation to the scabbard lends a wonderful contrast with the bands and the grip colour is fantastic.

Certainly not one I could have passed & I like it a lot!

Nice looking C & J what a great patina and red grip. First I have seen with a Pack guard they certainly used different parts I have one with an early WKC guard.

Nice looking dagger, congrats! Its always great to find a dagger with a very unusual grip color. certainly different from the average grip!
Did C&J ALWAYS stamp both sides of their blades? I have a C&J but only stamped with the shield on one side of the blade? Were there variants and if so, which one was the earlier one?
Thanks for any answeres in advance.

Very nice patination and the typical truely untouched look. a pleasure to see such a dagger.

@ Dion: Mostly C&J did stamp both sides of the blade (the one with their shield emblem and the other one with their name and I think to remember Solingen) but there are also totally legit pieces (I for myself e.g. do own a Deutsche Jägerschaft hunting dagger by C&J) where only one side of the blade is marked with their shield emblem.

This is an example of what I believe to be a rare initial production C&J Army with a single stamped marked.

Tom,

Exquisite Army, to say the lease, and the hanger's patina matches the dagger perfectly. Beautiful example!

Very nice.

Hi Wotan,

THanks for the info. Glad to hear that it is known that there were some with only the shield.

Rich, Tom,
beautiful daggers, congratulation! Early C & J daggers are really hard to find - I am still looking for one for years.
Tom, you are very lucky with that dagger, and the hangers are just great!!! I love them.

Rich, great looking C&J!! Do you think the pommel is a Eickhorn product? Looks like it in pics.

Tom, I never tire of seeing your wonderfully patinaed C&J! Just smashing my good fellow.. Kevin.
