good evening...i'm looking at this alcoso dagger. one screw scabbard and high lift crossguard tell that is a late period dagger but the maker mark is not the last(awc) but the fourth(acs). may be normal or is a dagger parts?? thanks a lot from italy

I don't see anything wrong in this combination of crossguard and maker mark. Textbook I would say.

Flared pommel is correct IMO is it fixed? can you unscrew it? many I have come across by this maker are fixed and will not undo. Be careful though.....use finger tips only you do not want to shred the thread

i've tried to unscrew with finger tips and doesn't move at all...is strongly fixed.i know that alcoso used resin to block the grip ...thanks a lot guys

The Alcoso army daggers with the high-lift crossguards came with both ACS and AWS maker marks.

Alcoso used a method to lock their pommels on late model daggers. Do not try to unscrew the pommels if it does not unscrew easily, you could damage your dagger.
