You should write a reference.
I love these tags and pick them up whenever I can.
I have the standard tags which are "available":
Krebs (2 types)
Alcoso
P. Seilheimer
WKC
Hörster

I am always on the look-out for them.

I have a Wüsthof tag also, very similar to the second one that you posted, although instead of a string, it has a paper loop.
I have no idea of "vintage".

Anyway, thanks for posting!

Good hunting,
Johnny

That was the plan but not many folks really into them. I did funnel all my info to craig but he had other plans for what he wanted I never got the idea it was something he wanted to do. I ask Tom J about inclusion in a future reference he was a great source of reference but again everybody wants the wizzbang stuff. SS SA Someone like Damast has the background paperwork to dig farther into this than I did. Yes they are damned cool when you really think about the rarity of what they are. Like all hobbys some stuff thats a bit more common draws the $$ eick pack. Metal tags seem the most sought after and it seems are the most "thought by collectors to be the real deal" paper ones seem to lack in collectors minds save the ACS Krebbs WKC PS and Horster tags. Variants exist of the same type, small changes wording dates size so yeah that was my plan but again not many seem to think they are worth much. I took down my site and packed up the research. Its late in the game for me and Im onto other things. most of the tags are gone some i have may never be ided the book is a memory. Again James may have some super stuff in his collection of factory papers the puzzle needs to be put together. Im into bicycles corvettes and family now. side note goes here. The one that got away Boker..... most think they are the unicorn I think one is out there somewhere. Mike Hansen never gave up the key to finding them to me I had to figure it out on my own. Its like the secret of the key to women once found it was too easy

Metal tags can be used for a wide variety of applications including industrial, military, aerospace, and commercial uses. As well as it creates a permanent tag on our metal which cant be removed easily. That is very useful for security of our metal.
