Hey Guys,

Here`s a crossguard on an early slant Army dagger that I`m having difficulties identifying confused
I have a slight idea of which crossguard this one could be, but I`d still like some help here, just to confirm whether my thoughts were right.
Thanks in advance.

Dion

Looks like second Klaas for me.

Aaaaaaaahhh... We definately have some guys here with LOTS of knowlege! Nicely done Gentlemen, it is on a early Klaas and confirms what my thoughts were! I was just not 100% sure as to whether it ACTUALLY was a Klaas crossguard?

Unfortunately Degens, my daggers are all packed away as I`ve just moved house. Will be unpacking shortly, but also have to leave for 2 and half weeks for work. I`ll post a pic or two when I get back.
Thanks a ton Gents for your quick feedback, its greatly appreciated:)

Tom and Jon are right as always: it is definitely an early produced KLAAS xguard.
Congratulation, nice score.

It nice to see a cross guard that has not been enhanced and makes an interesting comparison to those that have. So many of the Klaas produced pieces were extensively worked to varying degrees and it is curious that daggers of the same period are occasionally seen without.

Nice dagger Dion!

Here is mine

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the comments. wink Landser, how are you my friend? When you coming back out this way again? Unfortunately I`m out of town for nearly 3 weeks, so will only be able to post pics of the entire dagger once I`m back. But will certainly do so at the request of several members.
Very nice crossguard there with lots of enhancing! Very beautiful. Makes mine look pretty dull in comparison! frown
