Anyone know about these ? I picked it up today along with a L W Dagger. it's real neat. I have been messing with picture sizes to try and load them in here, anyone know who made this ? I assume it's WWI with that badge on thee handle. Blade is marked the same on both sides.

And the "Badge" is part of an Imperial army belt buckle.

Of course I don't speak for anyone else but my comments had nothing to do with the cool factor, just the parts used. Your cane appears well made and was probably made in response to the unsettled situation in post wwi germany where going discretely armed was a pretty good idea. I would like to see a picture of the whole unit.

Wes
Don't underestimate your cane...
Many sword canes were made of bamboo, probably because bamboo offers a natural open core to act as the scabbard for the blade.
Your cane falls into the category of "trench art", made by a soldier or , even, a commercial firm as a " war souvenir" for soldiers. And, IMHO, it was probably originally made as a sword cane, not retrofitted.
It potentially has cross-over value among sword collectors, cane collectors and military collectors.
Looks like a nice conditioned piece. Value? I have seen similar canes priced at $100+ and up.
Hope this helps.
