My latest purchase. I'm not sure it's a military ring. All opinions are welcome. Thanks

Very interesting ring.. ,,this is a classic Momento Mori ring..
When ever you see a hourglass, stars, a scythe or sword etc. on a ring you can bet its a MM ring..

This ring has just as much value as a German military theme ring ,And,,could very well be possible a belonging of a German soldier so a no loss there and perfectly fine to include in a German military collection.

The symbols shall remember the ring owner/wearer: Always think on the death.

Nice ring!

How common were skull rings? What percentage of Heer/Luft/Kriegsmarines would you say wore them? 25%? 50%? 75%? 85%? I've also heard they were sometimes worn by citizens not in the military. Interesting.

Spacey I have asked that question before, I think it's a matter of realising how many variations and amounts of totenkopfrings were manufactured, more than you realise!

I have many unique variations and designs let alone the common patterns so they were very common amongst westwall and campaign rings. Finding clear photographs from the era of people wearing them is the harder task in my opinion!
