Here are pictures of one of my recent purchases. This 2nd model Luft has good crossgraining, and is in great shape despite a lot of carry time. The scabbard bands are almost wore through on this one. I see a lot of 2nd model Lufts by this maker with this type handle.

Very nice dagger Rich! I have a 2nd luft in my collection with the same maker mark. Interesting to see that the scabbard configuration is exactly the same as yours. The crossguard however is different. That's not very unusual because small producers like Schuttelhofer are known to buy their parts from different producers. That's one of the reasons this hobby will never be boring. The variations are immense. I will post mine when I find the time to take some pictures.

Wow if that dagger could talk ! Certainly saw allot of carrying time. Dagger has a nice look to it with the goliath grip nice pickup.
