hi, we were discussing this dagger on a dutch/flemish forum but I advised Reinier to post some pics on this forum aswell since you guys "rock". I could not see anuthing really wrong with the dagger but I was in doubt about the RZM code. If you compare it to the rzm code used in the reference gallery at wardaggers Emil Voos seemed to use an etched rzm code (see pic). But as I said to Reinier this would not mean that they didn't use another one at a particular time. Since I'm not a specialist in RZM codes SA (I preffer the maker marked SA's more (like most of us ? )) ,so I tought it would be better to get some confirmation here. And so that we both can learn something can someone explain me f there were different RZM logos used by Voos , why, at what time did they change ?

All the examples of SA RZM 2 that I have seen resemble the one posted above by Joe.
Does anyone have an image of a version such posted at the start of the thread?
RZM markings are varied and changed without notice so anything is possible.

I also find the 3 different backgrounds (floor bench bed) for the photoshoot a bit strange. Alltough it looks like 3x the same dagger (same grip /cross guards) Or am I over-analyzing

Hi Dave, Paul Hogle has sold a Emil Voss with the same logo some times ago, but I can't post the picture here without his permission. Regards, Ricardo

Dear reinier 125, instead of worrying about this RZM dagger and the RZM mark why dont you consider buying a EARLY SA with a real maker mark. The quality is infinitely better to start with and, properly stored, the finish wont flake off like on the RZMs. Mike

Reinier,
Seems to me this dagger is good, but for to be sure, I think better pictures will be needed. I'd like to see better scabbard and crossguard fittings and crossgrain.

Ricardo

Try shooting photos on an overcast day,, you will get better clarity and detail.
