I recently acquired this document and folder for the appointment of the Director of the Reichsbahn from my good friend Jon Vastine of The Veteran Footlocker (who gave me permission to share these pictures). It is hand signed by Adolf Hitler as well as well as another signature that I am uncertain of, that was signed on behalf of the Minister of Transport. I dont think this is the signature of Julius Dorpmueller (who was the Minister of Transport at that time). There is also initials in the corner of who I assume was a witness (Mo). Does anyone have any idea who the signature and initials belongs to? Thanks for any help, Jeff

There is no Direktor Faatz listed in the 1943 edition of adminstrative personnel of the III Reich that does list all senior Reichsbahn officials.

That being said, some research on the net produced a Faatz in this footnote #55: "[55] 1943 wurden im Verzeichnis der Oberen Reichsbahnbeamten (Leipzig 1943) folgende Personen als Bahnbevollmchtigte angefhrt: Faatz (RBD Wien), Wilhelm (RBD Linz), Seldmeyer (RBD Villach).
