Rath also used a similar SS mark on some of their swords. As to the number, it could be an inventory number for temporarily issued swords for ceremonies, etc. it could also br related to the officer's SS or other number.

Grumpy is right....The Officer's sword I have is 'Herm. Rath Solingen' marked on the ricasso, plus an Allach-type runes within a diamond. (apologiefor the poor quality photo!)

Grumpy, Tristan,
Thanks, I was unaware of this. I thought I read this was the only company that did this but I'm mistaken.
Thanks again.

The number on the knuckle bow would have been hidden by the buffer pad. Could it be an assembly number - and are any other parts also numbered? FP

Hi Fred,
Your absolutely right. The number would have been hidden by the buffer pad. So I thought assembly number also however there are no other numbered parts. This is my only WKC police sword so I have nothing to compare with. Any other collector have one?
Thanks
