I put this here cause I don't want to violate the helmet's forum, by posting about something non-German. I was given this helmet as a gift, anybody has any info about it, origin, value or anything would be helpful.Nicely marked OX and 1939.Thank you in advance.

looks to be early wwii brit mark II hemet,,nice and i saw one today at an Antique Mall for $75.00..it had the elastick cloth coverered chinstrap, so yours may be post ww ii use, with a leather liner and chinstrap that may be replacements.I believe that wwii helmets have black oil cloth liners with the above mentioned cloth-covered elastic strap...

The liner is not leather, looks like cloth covered with vinyl or something. It is marked 7 on the back, also the aluminum straps that hold the liner are marked 7 too. Thanks for all the useful info.
