Hello,
I'm not much of a ring collector but picked this up for $30.00 and thought it was cool. It has the initials J.V. scratched into it and the numbers 39 24. It also has a makers mark but can't make it out. I would like to note it is a small ring perhaps for a woman or child. I don't know anything about rings but for the price I thought I would take a chance. Any incite would be appreciated.

Thanks

Rich

Rich,,, Swastika rings/jewelry was usually a good quality. They were early pieces 1923 to 1934 and then sales/production [because of official comments] dropped off quickly..
These type 'patriotic rings were also finished off nicely. Nice thin bands,,inner band beautifully polished, content marked, etc. Maker marks were usually good and even worn should be legible..

For me this is a old fake.... This ring would fool many,,a hard one for sure.. A chance and $30. isn't so bad. Put it out on your table next show and you'll get your money back.

Check this topic out to see some other patriotic rings, their style, their quality etc.

Gaspare,

Thank you for your keen incite. I thought this piece was interesting and for the price I took a small gamble. My father raised me with his wisdom of "nothing ventured, nothing gained,...no risk, no reward,...no guts, no glory. To a degree their great words to live by if you don't break the bank. I think I'll hang on to this piece for the time being. Even if it's not real it's still pretty cool.

Thanks again.
Rich
