This Turkish sword came my way at an antique show today. It appears to be based on an Austrian pattern and was made by "Julius Voos Fabrique D'Armes Solingen". Both sides of the plated blade are etched with stands of arms surmounted by a crescent moon & star. Any info or comments on this odd bird would be appreciated. Here are some pics.

A neat sword Len. I normally see the plain P guard brass hilt Turkish swords with the star and crescent on the blade or on the langet. Most of those have a ring on the pommel as well. The 1931 Eickhorn export catalog for Turkei only shows the P guard swords so yours certainly pre-dates those. Nice to see a different one.
