I'd like to get the experts opnions on this. Bot cross guards a cracked and the blade has been cleaned. Scabard is missing the ring. White line on handel is not a crack, piece of hair.

100% original and the tang will also be marked. It is extremelly rare to find a transitional dagger with an anodised scabbard and plated fittings, very common on M36 model but not on M33. They do exist but are rarely seen. Last time I talked to Wittmann, he told me that he had only seen it twice. Congrats, nice dagger. Here's the thread on the tang marking. http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/...8099473/m/4870052463

Until seeing yours today, my RZM dagger with an anodised scabbard was the only one I had ever seen. I'm very please to see that they do exist and that mine, wasn't the only one out there. Anodised scabbard on an RZM SS blade is only accounter with this maker RZM marked.....so far. They were probably subcontracted by a small firm that had some early anodised scabbards left over from the early years. Really cool ! http://daggers.infopop.cc/eve/...8099473/m/9380097784

Took a look at the tang and it is marked the same as yours. Bottom cross guard is also marked with an E W on the inside.
