Rich What a beautiful dog! I volunteer at our local Humane Society and am proud to say that we have begun adopting out pitties. Like many shelters, we previously placed them with a breed specific organization or euthanized them. So far, this has been working wonderfully. They are wonderful dogs whose strong point (or, depending on your outlook, weak point) is their strong loyalty and desire to please their person. In the wrong hands they are trained to fight (my master wants me to kill other dogs, so I will do it to please him). Unfortunately, the dogs are the ones that lose. In the news media a "pit bull" is sort of like an "AK-47"; ie. a catch-phrase, "bad dog/bad gun". Doesn't really matter if it is a pit bull or an AK-47, as long as it sells newspapers. In my opinion the dog's owner is the one who should be euthanized!!

I agree with you and back you 100%!!!
My dog never bit anyone...ever...he absolutely loves people and gets along other dogs as well, but I wouldn't want anyone to walk in my house unannounced either. His loyalty to our family is amazing.
