Navy Eickhorn Maker Mark? Should this Eickhorn MM be facing the tip rather than the handle? It this normal? I would assume this is a later war model? Anything else you can tell me is much appreciated. Thank you. JME

Appears to be a postwar maker mark... These usually have pressed scabbard bands and a white felt buffer pad. Often see these with Horster etched maker marks.

What a beautiful job of converting the post war pommel into the 3rd Reich pommel.

This dagger is 100% post war. All Eickhorn navies with the etched trademark are postwar. They really put some effort in that pommel.
