Enclosed are pictures of a rare Bavarian Greek 1903 bayonet in very good condition. I have been told this bayonet ranks at least a nine on Carters rarity scale. I was wondering if this bayonet can be considered an Ersatz. Due to the hilt modifications made so it would fit a German rifle. And the standard German cross guard quillion. I was able to get this bayonet from an advance collector friend who recently scored two of these bayonets.

Certainly a nice bayonet, but not 1903 modell, more real a it was used a blade of M1903/14 greek bayonet.

Hello Really a very desirable and rare bayonet, mainly with its original scabbard. It is considered as 1914 bavarian bayonet. Regards Alain

A very nice and scarce bayonet Dow. Does it have German inspection proofs on the pommel?

Both the pommel and scabbard have matching proof marks.
