Roy,

Very nice dagger. That's a maker I don't yet have. Beautiful condition and the blade is gorgeous. I didn't realize Voos plated their blades...also nice personalization.

Nice Voos – Not all Voos blades are nickel plated.

Very nice Voos with the less seen type B grip. I like the look! Well done! Kevin.

An interesting, nice dagger! A plain VOOS is not seen very often. And imo the form and color of the grip too.

There is an ongoing discussion about plated vs. unplatetd blades. Although some firms did plate their blades (and this was mostly done at extra costs) I personally think that the socalled diamond polish of a blade (not the high luster polish) is the much more skillful art and gives any blade a much more high-class look.
Especially on long blades (swords, sabers) it was much easier to plate them as to give them the an even diamond polish at their whole length.
Just my opinion, regards,

A plain bladed Voos is one of the harder pieces to find in my experience. I have one early double oval and would regard it quite probably my rarest dagger among the other early pieces I have colected.

Nice piece!
