Here is one that I have not looked at for a long, long time. Actually this is the only SA dagger I have and i think this is only the 2nd time I have had it out since I bought it about 5 or 6 years ago. I had forgotten how nice it was. Not a very common maker I believe. This dagger was never cleaned as can be seen from the dull nickel finish although I did renwax the blade before putting it in my cabinet. the colour of the nickel is actually green but this doesn`t show very well with my camera. Nice burnish in the MM and motto I think. Blade is nice with a little grey here and there and the cross grain is very light and hard to capture. I`ve enjoyed looking at it again, I hope you do

Hey Landser, Very nice early SA indeed. I've heard of this maker but I don't think I ever saw one. Nice dark motto, nice crossgraining, and overall in very nice condition, a keeper for sure.
Nice pictures, thanks for showing.
Rich

Rich, thanks for your comments. Praise indeed having seen the quality of some of your fine collection.
Since I focused on heer daggers everything else took a back seat to the degree of exclusion for political daggers. Much of that was due to the hype and resultant price increase following the publication of Mr. Wittmann`s book rather than a lack of interest in SA`s.
For one of the most common daggers they do seem to command a surprising premium.
I do not recall seeing more than a couple of G. Felix over the years but & I am not exactly sure of the rarity rating but I think probably a 7 or 8. Rather a boring MM IMO.
I would confess to preferring an Aesculap or one of the Suhl makers TBH. Aesculap for the great MM and Suhl maker for their fantastic grips. But, this one will do....... :))

Very nice Landser, is perfectly inscription on the blade and in good condition with an unusual manufacturing, the handle with its red color is very nice, a SA Dagger desirable for any collection.
