Well,, as some know the last 2 years were not the best for the old ring hunter...
This year the dry spell is finally broken! Picked up some of the rarest rings,,and patterns I actually needed..

First,,,must apologize for the piss poor photos.. Most dealers know me by now and will not let me photograph their rings,,[fake rings]..

Also the photo size here is just terrible but that's what happens when you have a free site,,also I was in a hurry and didn't play with camera file size..

So, blurry out of focus , small photos I guess is better than nothing.
Here are some real nice ones though:

Also gotta say it was great to see all the old regulars at the show.

* Big thanks to Ric.S had a great time buddy, , also good to see Don Boyle, Vinny, Kris L., 'Davis', Mr.&Mrs.MilitaryNut.
Also saw Mr.Jerry , John Peppera and Ed Sunday by their tables,, and BobC., Gary and JR on the hunt..

Rings and things:

Member John P. items......

Top though belongs to my Buddy Vinny,,a very rare counterfeit bank note! The SS actually had skilled concentration inmates counterfeiting British money to 'flood the market' with them.. This is a very rare piece!

I had this ring many years ago. I've been trying to replace it for many years!
I've only seen 5 or 6. ALL were of a small size,,maybe childs [?]...

Thin , a base metal, silver eagle,,light gold plate:

Last,
, a high end custom Luftwaffe ring. A Flyers version,,brass, had a silver wash. A real beauty I've been wanting for years.
It has the same band as a Para Troop ring I have:
http://worldwarmilitaria.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3704&highlight=Para

I do have a simliar [thanks to John P.],,but with broken wing,,silver band though with a gilding.
.

My new one needs a bit of light cleaning..

So 4 rings,,[and a few other pieces for my collection],,a good haul for me!..

Had a great time,,good to see the other collectors enjoying themselves too.....

Quick report:
There were probably close to 20 authentic HRs there. Saw 7 or 8 good fakes..

Other than the 4 private purchase rings I scored,,I saw maybe 6 more authentic ones.. Saw 50 or so fakes and fantasy rings,,they didn't sell...

Fantastic pictures, I wish we had shows of such magnitude and quality in the UK. I probably couldn't control myself seeing that many honor rings! And would most likely leave $10,000 in debt!

Good catches G!

Nice pictures G.
That are many good rings in one visit at the show!
Interesting to see the Luftwaffe ring bands have the same design.
