Do these photos look familiar to anyone? I am just trying to follow a trail of the daggers whereabouts. You may PM me if you wish not to post here. Thanks Larry

Not familiar with it, but the blade is questionable. Hard to tell from the pics.

As I said, it's hard to tell, but it looks like the trademark may not be positioned correctly for a Rohm.

Grumpy is right as this was a topic of discussion some time long ago,, but I cant remember what the outcome was because of the inscription,, and i cant remember at all who posted it,, or was it just a fly by posting! Larry

Personally, I would not buy this dagger because of the trademark placement mentioned. It should be only a couple of millimeters from the guard. I might be wrong, but from the photo, it does not look right. I don't know everything, but I know of no exception to the trademark placement "rule," for an Eickhorn.

I am not sure from the picture but is it the large oval TM? If so would the placement criteria differ from that of a small oval TM?

I agree with Grumpy, this looks like a fake blade to me - it's the smaller maker mark and it should be placed closer in to the crossguards

This dagger is on ePier. Search under Rohm dagger or SS dagger. The seller is supposedly in France, with no feedback. I think he previously said he was in Latvia. I emailed him for photos on a Himmler he had listed and did not recieve a response. Danger, Will Robinson!

Thanks guys for the heads up and for sure, if I was in a good financial position to purchase one of these examples ,, no doubt I would seek your counsel first. I remember this Rohm SS from some time ago and it had resurfaced again on another site,, same photos!! Some gents tracked it down and found it was a scammer in Bulgaria,, that used the most notorious of stories,,," this was found in my grandfathers attic,, I would like to sell it whats it worth?" I remember this example was in question long ago. Regards Larry

Scammer or not (probably yes), I don't think it's an original Röhm inscription and squirrel logo.

Don't like it, seen very similar fake blades here in Czech.
