Early SA and Gau Mark
Question: Is it unusual if one has a early type SA dagger with a MM (none RZM) and no Gau Mark? Shouldn't every early SA have a Gau Mark? I just wonder if this is possible or not. Thank you in advance for your reply. JME

We see this at times where the dagger did not go through the normal distribution channels to receive a Gau stamp. The consensus accepted is that they were given out as an "honorary dagger" and awarded as such.

Hi JR, Thank you for getting back with me. If no Gau Mark present and it was given out as a honorary dagger would such a dagger be more special? Thank you. JME
