The hanger is good for an East German Army Dagger.

but, I thought you were speaking of diplomats daggers.

These hangers are, as Jim W has already stated, East German hangers or (I tend to think) hybride hangers (due to the WWII brokade) with east german hardware.
I have never seen nor heard of a WEYERSBERG diplomat´s dagger but have in my personaö evidences two spurious WEYERSBERG gov daggers.
Do you have pics from the dagger in question? Please show them to us.

Maybe I was a bit too fast with my opinion...could we see a better picture of the eagle please? And maybe a picture of the head-screw?

Karl although I dont know much about Govt. daggers,, but one thing I do know is what my eyes see! First I see 2 different photos of the name A.Will on the back of the dagger then on another photo I see the same name on the front of the dagger. Then I see a disassembled dagger with the missing part with the name on it! Also one photo shows the spanner nut out and yet another photo shows an eagle head which looks to be the impression of a spanner nut but does not come out,, because its an all in one piece. The Weyersburg Govt. Official to this day is questionable,, but these photos you posted do not seem like the they are all the same dagger especially from the darker photos. Although I can not judge authenticity on this one,,but the photos leave me to think,, this is not the same dagger. Regards Larry

The parts except the blade seem to be original Eickhorn, although I have to tell that I´m not 100% shure....
The blade: I think it doesn´t belong there....maybe from an army dagger????

Eickhorn dagger with a probable cut down Army blade. Probable Army leather buffer pad ( too thick). West German hanger fittings with WWII Army straps. Horrible damage to pommel top and spanner. IMO--Limited value.

Looks like this Dip was assigned to hanging post with nails and used the dagger for a hammer
