Not this years Christmas present but a “Christmas in July” is when I received this Early Eickhorn SA,, with the help Of Lakesidetrader. This comes complete with ,,2pc hanger,,, early style logo,,,Bench mark “4”,,, typical Eickhorn crossguards with deep accent grooves,, and a beautiful grained grip. Nice to see an early Eickhorn SA example in this condition. Just wanted to share. Regards Larry

Hey Larry, I know I already commented on this dagger but I just went through your pictures again and WOW!!! That Eickhorn is in exceptional condition no matter what angle you point your camera...Superb top to bottom. Well I know it's in good hands and will be well cared for. Excellent photos.

Thanks gents, very much,, This is the only SA dagger that I own that has such a deep motto. Eickhorn really dug in the early blades. I like it alot! It looks much better in hand. I appreciate all your comments and extend them back to all of you as I have seen your collections also and they are nothing short of excellent. (I hope I said that right). I hope for me and everyone else that this 2012 yr is "dagger prosperous". I have learned the hard way not to pull in the fishing line when I feel a nibble but just waiting for something better to come along. I appreciate everyones time,, and especially patience, in strengthening my study in SA daggers. Im lovin it!!........and I thought when I was younger that Penthouse and Hustler were gold,, and those mags can not hold a candle to the deep interest we have in this period in time! Best regards Larry

Cool phrase Johnny..."its just extra history crammed in" and your right!,, the early period itself IMO was more full of frenzy, solidarity and growth of a movement! Thanks again. Larry

Siegfried B As always teaches us a beautiful piece as he usually does, it could not be in better hands, I love their state of preservation, as well Pitbull63 says no matter what angle you look at this perfect, my congratulations on your criteria.

A very nice early Eickhorn with the large oval smooth tail, congrats. I have two, one with the large oval/smooth tail and QA control stamp #4 (as yours is); and one with the large oval/serrated tail and QA control stamped #3. Both have the Wf group allocation, as does yours. These early Eickhorns are addictive!

I have to agree, the Eickhorn's have a certain appeal. Maybe since my first blade ever was an early Eickhorn HJ.
