anything about steins of TR personalities complete with RZM markings, the persons highest medal likeness, etc? Unfortunately I do not have pics but I have three steins I got on eBay years ago. One is Sepp Dietrich, another, Paul Hausser and the third, Reinhard Heydrich. These steins are well made and as I say, have a raised likeness of the persons highest award, in Sepp's case, the Knights Cross with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds. Of course the "diamonds" are not the real deal but look good. I seem to remember a Shotgun News ad years and years ago, probably on the early 1970's that had an entire page of various steins available but I may be wrong but think not. I sure hope these steins are known to someone here. What are they worth, if anything? Thanking you in advance, Lloyd

I do not recall these types being made (off hand), sounds like delta limited items. can't recall seeing Any original steins with "personalities" on them. steins were very popular in ww1 , not as much in ww2. they do exist. jeff

These steins, if they are what I think, were famous fakes about 30 years ago. I know of at least one top end collector who was fooled and spent a bundle on them. There was even a Himmler one as I recall
They are great for holding pencils and pens on a desk.

Dave Dave, it would have been about 30 yrs ago that I saw that ad in the Shotgun News because it was in that time frame when I subscribed to that paper. I had no doubt that they are not original WWII items but wanted to know more about them. Perhaps someone else knows more about them and possible value?

Dave is correct that these type of personality steins are post war and their value is minimal at best.

My guess is that 20.00 would be the most due them just being a fantasy item with no historical value IMO.

Here is an example of what I believe is being referenced. This one suggesting to be "in honor of Joseph Menegle". Not likely to say the least. I purchased it from an old friend during a MAX in Baltimore, knowing it was bogus but interesting just the same; especially for $20.
