Since it had cost me quit some time to figure out how to tie a portepee on a kriegsmarine dagger the first time, the second time I had to tie one, I took pictures of it. Maybe they will be helpfull to a fellow collector.

Yes, the trick is to do it "backwards". Especially difficult to bind a worn and tarnished one the way you donīt recognize it was once taken off. Thank you for your "guide" regards,
