Here is another uniform I'd appreciate comments on. From what I can see I think it is a converted Dutch uniform. From what I have read it seems this was common during the war.

This does not look like a Dutch rework. They have the tell tale front top pockets, material color, and pleated type stitching in armpit area...

Could it be Czech, Norway, or Belgian?

I think it is Swedish. It was also quite popular with early (1970s) German WW2 re-enactors to do this.

I think the boards are East German.

Usually the Swede has a 3 crown ink stamp,,look for it or a big ink blot masking it out...

We first thought this was a Swede done for reenacting, then I was told it couldn't be and was likely a Dutch period conversion. Seems we are back to Swede. But can't find any sign of three crowns... :-)
I'll take another look, maybe under the label.

I think the early ones may have used the singe crown. But what ever it is I know what it isn't...

Every Swedish item I've seen & converted had 3 crowns. the ink stamping, buttons ect. still own a few items unconverted.
use to convert them back in the 80's for reenactors. material looks correct for swedish.
the c-50 means something ,but what ?
all I had , including hats were all ink stamped with the dates also.
I agree the boards do not seem correct either (from this photo).

I saw the C-50 tag years ago on a job lot of tunics (all stripped) that were imported from Europe.. it was believed to be a postwar re-issue tag if I remember correctly.

Thought you might find this interesting. I was able to locate and purchase an unaltered swede uniform with the same single crown as the converted example. I'd say that confirms that some early 1940's swede uniforms had the single crown instead of the three crowns.

Definitely NOT Dutch - these were of a different cut & had different markings .
This is an old style Swedish marking - if I remember correctly , they used 3 crowns AFTER 1942 - and only 1 ( as shown above ) before that ..
