I would suggest to forward this topic to the "Edged Weapons Accoutrements Forum" as these are for sure NO german luft hangers, neither germal luft geneal hangers. Perhaps there you get answers what these hangers really are.
Personally I think of any foreign army, manufactured at germany.

Wotan,

We have always had a question of where to post accoutrements - in that forum, or in the appropriate dagger forum where the specialists see it. I think both are OK. We should not shoot greerhw just yet laugh laugh

And I agree with you about not being Luftwaffe

Thanks for your response gentleman. I was snookered by these guys. This is what is stamped on the back of these
.
"Gilded surfaces on the clips and buckles which have an oak leaf pattern. The reverse of the clip is marked "U.E.10", RZM logo, and "D.R.G.M." Comes with a gold portapee. The straps are red and feature gold fabric stitched to the straps with gold thread on the front and red leather with a rivet attaches the straps to the clip"

Dave, I am no way against discussing proper hangers here but as these are no german luft hangers and I dont have the least idea what they are (as stated I think of any foreign army) I thought there would be more competent response in the certain forum.
These hangers dont seem to be a pure phantasie item so it would be interesting to find out what they truely are. I was not aware that these were described and bought as german general luft hangers, I thought the member would look for the true provenience.
But you are right, to get the information that these are NO german general luft hangers is here a right place.

Marked with RZM and DRGM would make them 1960's fantasy in my book
So much for Rock Island being "usally reliable" they were listed as Luft SWORD hangers
when the are obviously for a dagger

@ AJ, the hardware is a correct, period IIIR luft hanger hardware. They DID come with this improper markings. The upper hardware is said has been used for HJ Leader hangers and the same parts (spare parts) were used for the mentioned, certain, original luft hangers.
This kind of (true) luft hangers also has a wide color range of commonly gilded appearance. Not patinated laquer but true kind of gilding (imo the fittings had a brass cover which went to time in different states, therefore the differing colors).
