Thanks,i'm pretty stoked.....I have a hanger coming, was part of the deal...Not sure what type, but I'll be happy with anything at this point.Ihaven't been able to find a good hanger referance, anyone point me in the right direction?/ As usual there sems to be many variations. I know the vertical is most desirable??

Congrats on a nice early dagger and you should be stoked! I think Lakeside Trader has info on vertical hangers and he sells them as well.

Yes,the scabbard is nice, has a cool wear spot where you can see that it rubbed against a pant leg it seems.

The wear spot is from the verticla hanger. Many Hammersfar's have these same characteristics.

$300-$400 should get you a nice one without dry-rotted leather or excessive wear.

I measured the blade today,it is 216 mm with the crossguards in place, and the motto is 22 mm down also with guards in place. My understanding is the blade should be 220,+/- 2mm,and the motto 25 mm.Does the blade set a few mm in the crossguard? I don't want to take the dagger apart, but would like to know my blade/motto is good.Thank you,Lenny

I remeasured my dagger, blade came in at 219mm,motto at 25mm.The ruler I was using had a small tab at the beginning before the actual measuring area started, that threw me off....

220 +/- 2 mm is the spec. I would leave the grip alone . JMO .
