Here is my modest collection of youth knives, and what can I say but it's a little intimidating posting next to John Z. for he has by far some of the most beautiful examples and variations of knives, daggers, and bayonets of the Third Reich I have ever seen. Of the 7 youth knives I have my 3 favorites are the transitional Eickhorn, Gustov Voss and the Grawiso.

That is a great collection, Rich!

And your display is original and attractive!

The biggest advantage of collecting HJ knifes is that you can always expand the collection, no matter how many you already have.

Many thanks for posting here!

Best greetings,

Herman

Rich:

I really like how you have displayed your collection.

Thank you for showing... did you notice that your Eickhorn HJ is missing from my collection? Just goes to show what Hermann said is dead on... this area of specialization almost never ends.

Hello Vassago,
I believe it to be a period Hitler Youth project of some kind. It came with a wooden plate with German writing on it. The plate looks like a hall pass from Junior High School. I will post the Youth Box and wooden plate on Miscellaneous Militaria and Regalia Forum maybe this weekend.
Thanks for your interest.

Thanks Johnny,
I can't help it. This stuff runs through my blood. You always say, "good hunting" well let me tell you, those are great words to follow as I hunt this stuff down to the best of my ability. As much as I love these Third Reich edged weapons, I do love the pursuit of a good hunt. Thank you for the kind words and your knowledgeable incite on my posts,... and Good hunting to you.
