I think it is a wellknown copy of this kind of frog with this marking. We can find some of them on different websites.

I agree with Alain, you can find a few examples with these marks in good condition for sale on the Internet. Not sure when they were made, but first one I noticed was probably a couple years ago.

thank you both for your help , I had a gut instinct it was wrong ! but i'd only seen one discussed over on waf , and the verdict was uncertain, it also came from a reputable source !, you live and learn !

Hi Will,
I hope that you didn't pay too much for this frog, I did bid on the previous one offered by the same seller. I noticed that it finally went for over �77, there's got to be something I'm missing here !!! It's nice to finish off a nice bayo with an appropriate frog but at these kind of prices the world is going mad !!!

Yes , paid too much , but at least it was no fake diplo dagger grin , I always research my purchases before i buy(5 kids and a spendaholic wife does that to you) but i messed up this time,
