Hello,
I would like to have more information this E. Pack early dagger
Model referenced in the book of Wittman page 50 with crossguard and pommel made of extruded aluminum and hand finished.
What saddens me is the poor quality of the scabbard rings and the "game" between the grip and crossguard.
Thank you for your impressions

Lovely original aluminium hilted army dagger. It has typical Pack fittings throughout and with the bonus of a personalisation. I love the hand chaste scabbard bands and the punched pommels on these early alu pieces, they always hold the detail so well. If it was not for the fact that the aluminium was needed for the war effort production, I suspect many firms would have opted for this material as standard.
Great dagger and I know someone that would love to have this dagger in their collection. smile

You see these hand worked bands on some of the early E Packs. I have only seen this style of work on the Packs. I have a few examples on my web site http://ww2-collector.com/army.html
