Hello,

I usually don't collect sword but just found these one with dagger.

The Eickhorn is marked Ges Gesch under crossguard & is a double engraved blade.
The 2 other are Voos with double eagle + svastika.

Are the 2 portepee correct for these sword? Opinion?
Thanks.
JC

Anybody know the significance of the pale gray portepee?

The "pale" grey (once green but faded due to time) portepee is simply a cloth strap portepee instead of the much more common leather strap portepee. It did come in both varations, the small strap one with two silver lines and the "big" one with three silver strands.
They are not common because imo the straps were easily damaged during normal wear and therefore not estimated during the period.
My EICKHORN Lützow sabre did come with the 3 strands big one but is damaged and with period repair.

Love that middle lionshead sword. The detail on the hilt coming out of the lion's mouth is beautiful.
