Gentlemen

Here we have an Eickhorn KM dagger with an ivory handle. I have not seen many KMs but I have never seen one with a plain blade. Is this a fantasy piece?

All opinions welcome.

Many thanks

James

PS sorry about the rubbish photos. If necessary I will wait till proper daylight tomorrow and add more

Here you can see some discolouration in the handle. Also the little cracks showing up with the dirt

is this pommel OK. The eagles head seems to lean forward. Clear picture of the discolouration on the handle

KM's did come with a plain blade and are harder to find.

Dow is correct... but the etched blades usually sell for more than the plain blades, go figure.

I have two plain bladed Eickhorn Kriegsmarine daggers, but both have the over shoulder 42 TM.

Result!! I thought this might have been a parts dagger. And is the ivory (it is ivory isn't it?) handle is correct too?

So what sort of money would this be worth on this site?

Many thanks for your comments

James

Everything appears to be correct. It is an unusual example with the ivory grip and "hammered" scabbard, but with the plain blade. It appears the original owner wanted all the upscale enhancements to be on the outside where they could be seen. I would check dealer sites for comparable daggers and see what they are listing for. But, I would keep in mind most dealers are asking top dollar.
