Bought this off a guy for 325.00 looks good to me,what do you think,did I over pay,hate to get stabbed with one of these,I know there are fakes of these out there.

Nice original one with the scabbard, Landers Frary and Clark model 1917 not a bad price.

I have not seen these 1917 faked as much (or as good) as the 1918 brass kuckle models. Nice piece!

Thanks!Well I dont know about price but there are 2 on Gunderson, one is 450.00 other is 650.00,mine is in between the 2 cond. wise except the blade on mine is in better cond.than the 650.00 one .The scabbards must be worth about as much as the knife!

There is also a rarer earlier version with an extra pyramid on the top of the guard.

One thing to keep in mind, is that these are collectibles and not commodities. There is no "set" price, but value is on a sliding continuum.

Thanks,your right its only worth what someone will pay.Now I need to find the other style with the flat blade.I screwed up and passed on one at a military show a couple years ago,it was 300.00 scabbard and all in nice cond!

There is also a version like yours with "flanges" instead of the pyramids.

sometime I am going to smack a pumpkin with one of these just to see what they would do...
