Here is a HJ belt and buckle that I have some questions about.... I assume that the buckle is steel and the nickle is worn off down to a brass or copper plating under the nickle?? Is this an earlier type buckle?? The belt is also interesting as the length adjustment tongue has been moved back to shorten the belt (for a kid of coarse!) and the hook catch is different than others I have seen...Have any of you guys seen a catch like this?? Is it any indicator of the era of the belt? ANY opinions or info on this set is appreciated!! Kevin.

M4/44 would be Paul Cramer % CO Ludensheid. I see nothing wrong with the belt or buckle. I have sen the belt catch like yours on police belts and buckles. Rod
