I've been told that the alu DLV type dagger was only made by "F & A Helbig"; Could this collector community confirm this point and give me their impression about this item please ? Thank you in advance .

Yes, only F&A Helbig made the aluminium NSFK dagger. But the blade dimensions are identical to the early DLV and NSFK knifes, so they are easy to switch.
Best greetings,
Herman

Is there a throat stamping? If so, would you please post an image of it?

Blade looks a bit more aged than the rest of the dag, although it really is up to how it was stored, yet I never saw an SMF. I only collect those and Ive only seen Helbig. If you are one to take dags apart check the tang fit. They made very , very snug tight fits to the x grd. T

Thank you gentlemens for you opinion so far. I dismounted the piece and made some extra pictures of it. To answer to MW's question, yes, there is also a throat stamping.

As most already know, these parts are not readily interchangeable and I see no signs of grinding or anything. It is highly possible this blade has been with this hilt from the start.. Also, the throat stamping is correct. Like Houston said, "never say never" .. Mike W.

The only one like it in the world,I doubt it.Almost has to be a blade switch.Plus you will always have to explain it.I would not buy it.

I would agree with Houston. For years, only Jacobs was thought to have made SS daggers with (!) on the blade. Until I got that K&M piece.
Look over the dagger very carefully. If it shows no signs of fiddling, then it is time for a gut check. I know 0% about these, but unless it has signs of later "work" then consider it if you are a serious collector of these.

I think the only manufacturer of daggers DLV / NSFK aluminum was "F & A Helbig." I've never seen a dagger of this type made by another manufacturer.
