There is a dagger in the original no doubt, the only thing that confuses, on the other side but without the stigma of RZM runes net.Kto nothing to say about this cutting edge based on the fact that it is branded.

Yes this maker mark did exist. was for C.Gustav Spitzer. 1937ish .
they made SS daggers in 1937, 1938 , & 1939.
this was their S.A, dagger mark.
other seen SS marks...
1) m7/80 (and below) rzm 1197/38ss.
2) m7/80 (and below) 1197/38ss.
3) m7/80 (and below) 1197/39ss. few variations of this one seen.

Thank you! But such a dagger with the stigma of the SS was, or not? Issued or not? Or is this a dagger CA.Or is it a converted dagger SA, with the motto of the SS

IN the book, the fifth volume of Tomas M. Johnson "COLLECTING THE EDGED WEAPONS OF THE THIRD REICH" writes on page 16 that the 1938 started to put codes SS.

I have never seen that "M/80" on an SS dagger before.

AS Larry says, there seem to be more loose weathered blades than previously seen. And loose blades always beg the question "why is loose?".

I would not buy it.

I HAVE seen the M7/80 combined with the 1197 contract number several times, but never by itself. I still would not buy it.

Leon,

Ed,Dave and a few others have mentioned that this blade is an reproduction.
The contract number 1197 below the rzm mark is missing!Never seen on SS Daggers with the 7/80 Trademark

My guess is this blade is a reproduction from the 60's or 70's
The center ridge looks also a bit high. perhaps the picture?!
Just my opinion,
