Does anyone know about this patch? Came with a pile of wwii american patches, ribbon bars, collar disc and some nazi stuff I got in.

Cool thing... Early on they didn't have much insignia.. wouldn't doubt this was a 'local' made piece..
I like it and don't think its something that would be worth faking..

Well, this is all just speculation / deduction..

I would think that by the time he was fully President in 53 they would have had their insignia all straightened out and professionally made..

This could very well be from when he was the Supreme Commander of the Yugoslav Partisans [1941 to 45]. Could actually be a one off piece, or to a special unit , etc. Keep researching,,maybe something will eventually come up..

I looked around and found nothing. But since it was found with wwii american patches I think it is war. But what did it belong to. I also have a hard believing that a partisan group would have their own insignia. I would think that they were trying to be hidden as to what they or who they were fighting for.

just a title only.. They had well over a half million members!, over 50 divisions. Well organized, they were more regular army than partisan force.. This shield would have been right up their alley.....If its really troubling you and can't stand it you can always send it my way,,email on my profile wink grin
