Seems to me a parts dagger with some fake parts.

There are things about this dagger that don't seem to fit the "norm". The blade should be an Eickhorn, but the grip look more like a Suhl produced unit with high shoulders. The chain has the middle link on the long side is facing to the left and others I have seen have it facing to the right, the NSKK stamping on the rear seems a little muddled. The details on the eagle links don't look quite right to my eye. I may be getting a little picky but that's what I see. Others may have seen this exact same chain on daggers accepted as original.

I have some concerns as well. As well as what LARRY points out I do not like the the gold wash.
What is the provenance?

Is the upper suspension ring on the scabbard not welded/soldered?
