I just fetched this chained dagger from Europe . I think it is a good piece but I will be appreciated if you write your opinions about it here.
This Model is early period piece. The crossguards and tang nut are nickel-plated type.Beautiful chain assy of the 2X Type, with a nostril devider, hasn't been cleaned and finds in untouched condition.Blade has no sharpening .
What are your scores about this SS chained DAGGER?

Looks like a nice Type "III" or Type "X" as some call it. It is the least common of the skull link varieties. It is unusual to find a Type III with that amount of burnishing left on the chain. The tang nut may be plated but the crossguards look to be solid nickel, which they typically would be. There appears to be a large clearance gap between the blade and the bottom crossguard, but that does occur in originals. The scabbard appears to be a repaint.

What can be your SCORE or value for it?

I'm not sure what you mean by "SCORE". Value depends on finding a buyer. There are a lot of SS chained daggers available but they don't sell all that quickly at dealer prices. Some are priced over $10K US. That's way too much in my opinion. If this one has a repainted scabbard, or if those crossguards really are plated as you say, then the value will be less. You can do your own due diligence on dealer pricing by visiting the many dealer websites.

Skyline Drive has hit the major points on the head. The center ridge on the blade looks a bit high, more like later blades, but you do see early ones like this from time to time. Overall, the dagger looks nice. It is difficult to "score" a dagger without having it in hand. It looks like the darkening in motto may have been redone, giving it an odd appearance, but that could just be the lighting, camera angle, etc.

Sometimes too close, one can see nothing except what is immediately in front of them. Gentrex your photos are good but too close up,, take a few steps back so these SS guys can give you a better assessment. Larry

The motto looks strange, I mean the inner surface of the letters.
I'd like to see a sharp picture of the motto.
