Gentlemen,

I need some help in determining which one to buy.
I can only buy one and I'm undecided on which one to get, which one would be more desirable.

Thank you

The first one is for an Unteroffizier Infanterie Wurttenberg

They are both beautiful helmets. It is a shame you cannot get both.

If you have more than one spike helmet in your collection, I favor the silver finish over brass, in fact I have one myself, but not as nice as your choice. Most of my helmets have brass fittings, so the silver is a nice contrast.

If you only have one helmet in your collection then I would go with brass as it has a more " Military " Look.

I'm so undecided, I only have an Officer Prussian pickelhaube in my collection and both of the Wurttenberg are really nice.
I like the more military look of the Unteroffizier but I also like the contrast with the silver pickelhaube, the silver helmet is also in a better condition and is more ornate.

Pat- Buy them both, both are extremely nice Pickelhauben and worth the investment.

If you buy 1, go with the first as it is more desireable in the market if you ever chose to let it go.

Pat,

Sounds like good advice to me, both look like great examples!

Let us know which one you end up choosing ... wink

Best!

Good news, I was able to buy both pickelhaubes. wink
They're both coming from Stuttgart (Germany), in the middle of the ex-Wurttemberg kingdom.

Congrats.Your very lucky.
They are both beauties.
The silver one would of been my choice if it had to be one of them because of beautiful styling.
