Hi fellas, What's your opinion on displaying daggers? My plan is to make up some nice felt-backed frames and turn my attic into into a museum/den. however, I dont want to put the daggers at risk of any damage, corrosion, etc. Attics in Wales can get a little chilly through the winter! Would you suggest any special oils, etc, I could apply to the blades? Thanks Vinney

Vinney I store my stuff in the attic-I find these display/storage cases are perfect:
I prefer to keep my blades in the scabbard only removing them for a regular re-renwax. All protection is good protection IMHO

Nice case, I'm working on one to hold several daggers. I try to reuse old items so I am working on redoing a old silverware box.

Well, yes it is a nice storage box, very nice actually. But do you want to look at your collection or boxes? I live just across the water in damp Devon and have no problem. I have mine on full display in a glass cabinet and run a dehumidifier for acouple of hours in the damp weather. No problem in 10 years anyway. I renwax the blades about twice a year but once would probably be enough but it is a good excuse to get them out! best left in the scabbard in my opinion as the scabbard was built to protect them anyway

Thank you sooooo much for replying and attaching pics! What a great display you have there! What's your story? What a fabulous forum . . . wish it had been around 30 years ago! Whereabouts in Devon are you?
