Just wanted to introduce myself. Just started collecting daggers had always wanted to as a kid. So figured have at it. It all started with my seeing a k98 mauser bayonet in a antique store. Its a crs with matching scabbard. I then purchased a rzm SA dagger, Its a Eichorn SA. Any way....I then seen a add for 2 daggers from a vets belongings. One a Heer with hangers, white handle , great shape, Alacosa on blade. The second dagger from add turns out to be a......Red cross Leaders Dagger. Long story short.....Ive been biten by the bug.....time to save for a nice SS. Any how if that qualifiies me then Im in the right place.
Ive set a goal......find a FHH and buy it from a vet.

Welcome D. Sounds like you are off to a good start. Buy books, talk to people and try to handle as many original daggers as you can. The more you know the better off you will be. Try to buy things in good condition. If and when you sell something to upgrade or for whatever reason it's better if you don't have to explain anything. Nice original pieces speak for themselves. Good luck with your collecting.

Welcome aboard.I once bought a Red Cross officers dagger from an ad i placed, this was years ago and got it from the vet that brought it back. He swore up and that he had taken it off an SS officer, lol, no point in trying to correct the elderly gentleman.
Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. And remember the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
